Item List (one phrase per line). (TIP: Ctrl-dragging a mouse in a web table will often highlight just the cells of interest)

In the main box, enter a list of species (one per line) (Example). The species name needs to start at a consistent word position, whose range you can pick out using 'Use Words', which typically will be "1 to 2" for a simple list. You can extend what's recognised for showing images into subtaxa by ticking 'Increase for these words', and for precise hits you can put quotes around each result using "add quotes". You can also prefix with a consistent word, useful to add a Genus name before each item. When ready, click 'Create' to get a grid of species and for each a set of action cells you can click. The first 3 are marker columns - red, green, blue - which you can click on and off for any purpose (eg you might use red to mean 'unlikely', blue 'maybe' and green 'probably'), and then a number of views as follows -
Img... items show you google images -
Img from a specially curated list that are more reliable
ImgAll a plain google image search that may include far more unreliable results
Illus... will show you illustrations -
IllusPI uses plantillustrations.org
IllusGGL does a google image search combined with the word 'illustration'
IllusB&W does a google image search for black and white images, which will invariably be drawings
Web... will do a google web search -
Web is a direct google search
WebDesc will show the description by combining with the words 'petiole' which usually only appear in technical descriptions
Map... show maps -
MapEurope gets Europe maps from bgbm.org/EuroPlusMed which you can find by clicking in
MapWorld gets world maps from plantsoftheworldonline.org which you can find by clicking in
In addition you can provide an extra google column by ticking 'Template for extra search'.
The final column is for short notes (which won't be saved when you leave the page).
